Winter Hikes On Neopan

Winter Stream
I shoot on a roll of Fuji Neopan 400 between a couple of snowy hikes. I shot the first part of the role in a snow flurry at the Ledges in Virginia Kendall. The second half was shot last weekend while hiking off-trail near the Red Lock/Jaite area of the Cuyahoga Valley. I was really happy with both sets of shots. This is my second roll of Fuji Neopan and I seem to notice that a lot of midtones are present - more so than with the other two 400 speed films I shoot - Ilford HP5 Plus and Kodak Tri-X. I'm getting to the point where I'm dying to make some prints out of the black and white shots that I've taken over the last year - I think maybe its time to set up a temporary darkroom in the bathroom until I have the time to make a more permanent one.
The Chief
"The Chief" - I took four shots of this bracketing exposures - I loved it and wanted to make sure I got a good one.
The Ledges
Small pine tree on the Main Overlook at The Ledges. The snow is great! Tombstone Shadows
"Tombstone Shadows" - just something about this rock I really liked. Close-Up Needles

Roller Coaster
Let your eyes follow roller coaster ride of this snow covered tree off into the woods - best viewed large. Snow Covered Creek
I attempted to use the Photoshop 'burn' tool much as you would in a darkroom to bring some shadows to the creek.
Old Guard
Rule of Thirds baby!
