Mr. Fred

My friend Greg has an exhibit at the Summit ArtSpace, MR. FRED AND MR. GREG-LOVE BEYOND BOUNDARIES, and I wanted to document it - and he wanted it documented. Here is a link to the official show description and artist statement - LINK - nut in a nutshell Greg is telling the story of his relationship with his father who was in prison while he grew up through their letters and drawings. It is pretty touching and interesting and a bit personal for me since we grew up on the same street.

This was a on light portrait but I was going for a natural "window light" look.

Greg had set up the entrance to feel like you were going through a metal detecter - funny thing is artists entering to get to their studios kept putting their personal belongings in the tray....and the sign had to be moved!
