Yesterday Erin, Brad, Ben and I went up to Cleveland to see "Proof" at the Cleveland Museum of Art. We left in the morning and made an entire day out of the trip. Brunch, beers, shopping, and more. The exhibition at the museum was fantastic - one of the best shows I've ever seen and probably my favorite photography one ever. More below...
We started the day with brunch at Good Company.

Me and Ben
The Biscuit Boi - so good.
Some coffee & espresso drinks at Rising Star were next.
Erin picking up some treats at the newish Larder next door - an Eastern European delicatessen and bakery.
We stopped at Dodd Camera so I could do some shopping(more on that in other posts) and then decided we couldn't be so close to Noble Beast without stopping in.
For some reason every place we went had amazing light.
Avedon, Marx and Brad
Unstaged green on green.
This show is one of the best I have ever seen. It consists of a bunch of contact sheets - the tool photographers used to use to choose images to print. Seeing some uncropped versions of famous photos or the rest of a roll from an image was really cool. I would consider making another trip to the museum to see this again.
You have to take a sweeping atrium photo here, right?
Casting long shadows.
We decided to stop at Bottle House next and met a friend who lives in the neighborhood.
Again with that light.
Sharing.
We ended up having dinner at Zoma Ethiopian Restaurant - and tried out a bottle of honey wine. That place was awesome - my first time having Ethiopian food.
