On Saturday morning i took off on my bike at stopped at Countryside Conservancy's Farmers Market at Howe Meadow. From there i rode to Deep Lock Quarry for the first Jane's Walk of the day.
It focused on the history of this one time quarry and the Towpath Trail along the Canal.
After the Quarry walk I rode my bike up the Towpath and into Akron for the History of Summit Lake Walk.
The floating Towpath bridge. There was one a long time ago for the Canal Boats horse teams.
I had hoped to attend a few more walks but I simply ran out of time. I still enjoyed the ones I made it to and look forward to next year.
