Erin and I felt like getting out of town for the day but didn't have any plans. We basically ended up picking a town on Google Maps that had a brewery and a place to eat that was within an hours drive - Minerva. We turned the "no freeways" option on the navigation and drove to Sandy Springs Brewing. They were having a second anniversary party with live music and special beer releases. We had some really good beers and a great lunch then decided to also hit the brand new UnHitched Brewing on our way back home.
The plan for the brewery was originally to be on their family farm - unfortunately lightning hit their barn and burned it to the ground. The incorporated pieces of it into the downtown Minerva taproom.
Singing along.
We usually don't do flights but after our pints there were still a few beers we wanted to try without getting to buzzed.
I think I'll use this for the thumbnail on the YouTube video I will posting from this trip in the next few days. I shot slow motion footage with my GoPro.
We walked around the main street to check out what else was in the town.
UnHitched had just opened that weekend - they were completely sold out of their scratch made food and low on beer - so we will definitely have to come back.
Beer & food = sleepy time for Molnar.
